The President made the bold statement while hosting Plateau State Governor Caleb Mutfwang and a delegation of political stakeholders, where discussions centred on the security challenges confronting parts of the country.

In a strongly worded remark that signalled both political resolve and confidence, Tinubu dismissed suggestions that worsening insecurity could weaken his political future, saying he remains determined to continue in office.

“I’m a very stubborn politician. I just refuse to go. And I will campaign for my second term,” the President declared.

The statement marks one of Tinubu’s clearest public affirmations yet that he intends to contest the 2027 presidential election, despite mounting concerns over insecurity and growing criticism of his administration’s handling of the crisis.
