NAHCON introduces a Hajj Companion App with GPS navigation, multilingual guides, and real-time support to improve the 2026 pilgrimage experience for Nigerian pilgrims.

ABUJA — The has rolled out a digital platform, the Hajj Companion App, as part of efforts to improve coordination, safety, and overall experience for Nigerian pilgrims ahead of the 2026 Hajj exercise.
The commission said the application is designed as a comprehensive support tool, offering pilgrims easy access to essential services and guidance throughout their stay in the holy land.
According to NAHCON, the app integrates a range of user-friendly features, including GPS-enabled navigation to help pilgrims locate tents and key religious sites across Makkah, Mina, and Madinah. The platform also provides detailed Hajj guides in major Nigerian languages—Hausa, Yoruba, and Igbo—to ensure inclusivity and ease of use.
In addition, the application comes with a 24-hour call centre to deliver real-time assistance, alongside a built-in complaint and feedback system that allows pilgrims to report issues or emergencies directly from their mobile devices.
The commission described the initiative as part of its broader strategy to modernise service delivery and improve responsiveness during the annual pilgrimage.
NAHCON urged all intending pilgrims to download the application through the official QR code provided in its communication materials, stressing that widespread usage would enhance coordination and safety during the exercise.
It also called on stakeholders, including state pilgrims’ boards and travel operators, to promote awareness of the platform as preparations intensify for a smooth and successful 2026 Hajj.
